4:29 pm - The Weekend
I once sent this in a message, I like it.

"I need sleep, but it's too hot. I open the windows but it's too loud. My head hurts. My body is defeated. I can do nothing but drink cherry coke. I love Sundays.

Saturdays are tinged with expectation. The pressure to perform. Monday stares you in the face and you're yet to prove the worth of the two days you've been so looking forward to all week. If Saturday was a woman it would be Paris Hilton, all sparkle and no substance, a whirlwind romance of Champage and cocaine, leaving you dumped, dizzy, straight into Sunday.

Sunday, God's day of rest. Despite 21st century hedonistic revelry it still maintains it's aura of spirituality. You can look Monday straight in the eye and say "I have lived". Have you ever tried meditation? The art of thinking of nothing. It's not as easy as it sounds. I use centuries of Eastern wisdom to justify laying blankly on bed staring at a script of too small type."

12:24 pm - oink
Really annoyed about all the rubbish in the press about oink. It wasn't a pay site, there were no subscription charges, they didn't ever ask you to give money, you simply could if you wanted. If the admin had earned "hundreds of thousands of pounds" why was he living in a one bed flat in a converted terrace house in Middlesbrough, while holding down a full time job elsewhere?! Some news sites have even been saying oink distributed movies! ARRRGGG!!! So, so lazy.

Oink is dead. Long live oink.

11:03 am - New Buggy....
Seeing as everyone seems to be updating their livejournal at the moment I thought I'd join in the trend.

I've had my new car confirmed, I pick in up in December. It's a BMW 335D coupe, 282bhp, 428lb ft of torque. It's a monster. It's black with black leather. It's a bit of an old man car and I'll be sad to see my MINI go, but finances dictate that this is the cheapest option at the moment...

Evo review for any car geeks: http://www.evo.co.uk/carreviews/evocarreviews/204613/bmw_335d.html (yes I considered (and really wanted) the manual petrol, but it was loads more and therefore kinda defeated the object)

12:54 pm - My Mentor....
I aspire to be this good:

"I can beat any claim of "I do nothing"
I actually, truly did nothing in my last job for the last 5 months. I didn't turn up to work, I didn't check my emails, I didn't answer my work mobile. I'd just had enough and stopped coming in, but since I had 4 managers and a 'mentor' they must have all assumed one of them was working with me. Oh wait, I did do one thing. Fill in my timesheet every month with "37.5 hours training". But one day a recorded delivery letter arrived to say I needed to come in and discuss why I had been training for so long, and I resigned since the game was up. They even let me keep my work laptop AND gave 2 weeks extra pay as a bonus for never having a sick day. Best. Job. Ever."

Every day they email you part of a book so you can slowly work your way through. I've subscribed to war and peace and return of Sherlock Holmes, hope it works!

7:57 am - JUSTICE.
Let it never be said my friends that there is no justice in this world. Let me never hear that the right outcome can never happen. Do not say that a righteous result is only for the rich.

Yes, my friends, yesterday Biffy Clyro's amazing new album entered the UK charts at number two, beating the twats (twangs) over hyped abysmal dirge into third place. I like to think the beating was delivered by the hairy Scottish rockers down a dark alley in Glasgow…

10:25 am - NME
Despite sending them many an explitive ridden email, NME really can't seem to grasp that bright eyes are a band, with three permenant members, and that Conor Oberst is just the singer songwriter, not the whole thing. They're a big band, they've been going for a long while, this is not a complicated thing!

AAAAAAAAAAARRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!!!

1:48 pm - Torture.
http://abcnews.go.com/WNT/print?id=1322866

Yeah, of course, that doesn't sound at all like torture to me.

It makes me feel so jaded and helpless, and what point does the reaction come, where is the line? Is there a line you don't cross any more? Is there anything Bush/Blair can't get away with?

2:10 pm - violin.
Joshua Bell plays violin in a subway, no-one cares. Article is full of prentension and bullshit, but if you scrape out the good bits there's the making of something interesting.

1:00 pm - And another...
Passed 70-293 with 895/1000, half way done now, 70-294 - active directory up next.

In other news from my life...

I'm doing a Greek play in drama class, I've got a monologue and a few paragraphs to learn, it's a bit arty but good fun.

I'm being a Jack the lad mechanic in my Goldthorn play, I've been doing a kissing scene with my mate Bec, I'm like a giggly school girl every time!

I'm in a musical. I love it. I wish I could sing better and I'd take the lead in Grease or West Side Story.

I'm having guitar lessons, I learned an acoustic version of 'mardy bum' by the arctic monkeys. Carrie was ready to kill me but I was chuffed.

I'm doing advanced driving with a chap called Jim, it's great! He's showed me this amazing road near a local country park that's national speed limit and really really twisty, I'm totally addicted to it, then it leads onto a nsl dual carriageway, it's ace.

3:35 pm - I hate macs.
"Macs are glorified Fisher-Price activity centres for adults; computers for scaredy cats too nervous to learn how proper computers work; computers for people who earnestly believe in feng shui."
